Satellite Image Compression Algorithm Based on the FFT

چکیده
Image compression is minimizing the size in bytes of a graphics file without degrading quality image to an unacceptable level, reduction allows more images be stored given amount disk or memory space, it also reduces time required for sent over ground. This paper presents new coding scheme satellite images. In this study we apply fast Fourier transform and scalar quantization standard LENA image. The results obtained after (SQ) phase are encoded using entropy encoding, decompression, show that possible achieve higher ratios, than 78%, discussed paper.
